“Make Change. Not Waste” is a green living initiative that rewards Whole Foods Market® shoppers with coupons for green lifestyle actions, while raising awareness and donations to alleviate global poverty through Whole Planet Foundation. The app provides Whole Foods Market customers with badges and coupons from a catalog of green lifestyle behaviors like using a reusable bag, recycling and biking to work. After completing 10 green actions, you can unlock one of more than ten coupons from leading green brands, or you can choose to donate a percentage of the coupon value back to Whole Planet Foundation. Suja Juice
One of our newest Whole Foods Market supplier partners is Suja Juice, an organic, raw, Non-GMO verified fruit and vegetable blend beverage and cleanse program. What makes their products so unique is that all ingredients are gently cold pressed for the maximum yield of vitamins, minerals and enzymes, and each 16 ounce bottle contains approximately three pounds of organic produce. Once the cold pressing process is complete, the juice is High Pressure Processed (HPPd) to extend the shelf life by about a month. The HPP method gives Suja the ability to create a safe to drink, nutrient rich beverage without the use of heat or pasteurization.
As you can imagine, maintaining temperature is extremely important in producing a high quality juice. Temperature must be maintained at or below 40 degrees on a continual basis, so Suja and Whole Foods Market have been working together to ensure that from the time that Suja places the juice in the box until the time that it is placed in the cold case section by a Whole Foods Market Team Member, the temperature hasn’t gone above 39 degrees. To protect the integrity of their products, Suja has launched their innovative TempTrips program that will randomly test one case from each pallet that it ships. Upon receipt by Whole Foods Market of the product, the Team Member will see that a temperature device is inside a particular box. For every TempTrip device that Suja receives back from Whole Foods Market, Suja will make a $25 donation to Whole Planet Foundation.

Team Member Spotlight: Lisa
Lisa has been super successful in raising full loans for Whole Planet Foundation during our 2013 Annual Prosperity Campaign. Here is what she had to say about her last day of collecting donations:
"Literally in the final hour yesterday, 2 of my friends who are regular WFM customers that I've been speaking with since our campaign began, shopped for their groceries and each donated a full loan. It totally blew me away.
Plus my online page brought in 2 full loans of $164 plus some more, totaling $358.
I believe my count of full loans donated is 10 plus the 6 matching ones, totaling 16 full loans and somewhere upwards of $5000 raised.
Having this be my focus, to have the opportunity to make a difference in peoples lives, both on the receiving side and the giving side of our customers and [WFM] Team Members, has inspired and touched me in ways I cannot really express fully in words right now. Definitely my experience of life has dramatically been impacted being part of the Whole Planet Foundation's fundraising campaign."
